Type: triple roasted dan cong oolong
Origin: Chaozhou, Guangdong, China
With a history of over 900 years, this stripped-style oolong is cultivated in Phoenix Mountains, northern Guangdong.
“Dan Cong” literally means “single stem”. The crispy leaves are packed with an aroma that isn't as pronounced upon the first sip.
Distinctive with a complex aftertaste, this semi-oxidized tea is the most intense in flavor with a complexity of depth compared to other oolongs.
We have selected a few fragrance (xiang) types of Phoenix Oolong to showcase its variety.
For our Mi Lan Xiang, Honey Orchid fragrance, we engaged a few thorough roasts to deliberately bring out the warm and sweet taste this tea is so distinctive of. Click here for the pressed mini tea cake version.
The Classic 2018 Phoenix Oolong Box Set comes in 20 individual packets of Mi Lan Xiang, packaged nicely as a gift set.
