A designed original shape, 守智 Shou Zhi, fully handmade from Master Lin in Chaozhou. Each teapot is made individually with functionality and design in mind. Each holds its own unique characteristics. The image may not reflect the exact teapot being purchased. Add Master Lin's Shou Zhi to your teapot collection or gift this fine piece to a lover of art.

Chaozhou red clay pots differ from Yixing not only due to different skills required for crafting, but also the clay body. When tapped, you hear a higher-pitched bell sound. The lids and walls of the pots are thinner, thus reducing the heat retention slightly making it suitable not just for dan cong and other oolongs, but also more fragile teas with brighter notes. For this Shou Zhi, ball-rolled oolongs are most suitable due to the smaller opening of the lid.

Season with your choice of tea. As always, never wash it with soap or anything other than water. I recommend rinsing with boiling tea water and wait for it to cool down before your first use.

Capacity: 70ml(+/-15ml)

My Second Teapot from Lin Kai

This is my second teapot from Teaphile made by the Chaozhou potter Lin Kai and I love it just as much as I did the first one! The teapot is aesthetically beautiful and it is very balanced so it feels wonderful in the hand. It is the perfect size for true gong fu brewing and has enhanced all the dan cong tea I've brewed in it so far.
