Made with highly sought after Da Hong Pao clay ('Crimson Robe' clay) from the Yixing of Jiangsu province, the high-density clay is high in iron oxide, and with a high degree of crystallization. With time and care, the teapot will take on a bright red hue, and infuse teas with a smoother mouthful.
Season with your choice of tea. As always, never wash it with soap or anything other than water. I recommend rinsing with boiling tea water and wait for it to cool down before your first use.
